Finance Graduate Program
As the Finance Graduate, you will be working primarily at the head office of Sydney Buses in the Finance and Administrative Services Department. The Financial Services unit is responsible for the planning and control of State Transit’s financial performance, and custodian of State Transit’s Balance Sheet. The Financial Services unit is also continuously called upon to undertake financial analysis of a wide range of business improvement initiatives.
Finance Graduate Placement Schedule
The Finance Graduate Program is a two-year program that will consist of a series of placements in each of the main financial functions in order to build your skills and experience in financial services.
You will be engaged in a diverse range of functions that will build skills in:
- financial analysis
- financial modelling
- treasury management
- budgets
- long-term financial planning
- monthly management reporting
- statutory reporting
- regulatory compliance
- internal controls
- taxation
- system development
- implementation of new financial systems
Support will be provided to enable you to pursue further technical qualifications such as the CPA program.
Relevant University Degrees
If you have recently completed a degree (or expect to complete a degree at the end of 2008) in any of the following, or similar, broad range of disciplines, then the Finance Graduate Program will be suitable for you:
